Jack Petchey Award Harvey and Khylann are joint winners of the January-June Jack Petchey Achievement award, here are some quotes from the staff who voted for them. 

‘Khylann; for always showing great behaviour and conducting himself in a calm manner and Harvey as he has grown so much during his time at Heath showing so much growth in his behaviour and attitudes’.

‘Khylann is always up to try everything that is offered to him, even if he might not think that an activity is for him. His kindness and resilience are always on display and he has really pushed himself to achieve in his studies.’ 

‘Harvey has been a good role model to new students coming in. He is a positive presence to have around the school, engages in everything that is offered to him and is polite to staff. Harvey has represented the school excellently when out in the community on trips.’  

‘Harvey arrived with a huge amount of anxiety about art lessons but from the start he tried his absolute hardest to have a go and let go of past negative experiences. It has been an absolute joy to teach him and to see his confidence grow. In addition to the success of his personal journey at Heath, he also shows consistent kindness to others and an awareness of basic human courtesy and decency. He is a very nice human being!’
