What is Outreach?

Heath School provides a comprehensive Outreach service designed to support Camden secondary schools in meeting the needs of pupils who are at risk of disengagement, exclusion, or requiring alternative provision.

Our offer forms part of Camden’s wider SEND and Alternative Provision strategy and aims to promote early intervention, shared expertise, and strong collaboration between mainstream settings and specialist provision.

Our experienced team works directly with schools to build capacity, strengthen inclusive practice, and improve outcomes for vulnerable learners. Support is flexible and tailored to each school’s context and may include:

  • Targeted in-school intervention for pupils presenting with behavioural, social, emotional, or readiness-to-learn barriers.

  • Specialist coaching and mentoring focused on self-regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour routines.

  • Teacher and leader support, including strategies for managing challenging behaviour, differentiated curriculum design, and graduated response planning.

  • Reintegration guidance for pupils transitioning from alternative provision back into mainstream settings.

  • Data-informed recommendations to help schools identify patterns, plan provision, and evaluate impact.

The Outreach service is built on strong relationships, high expectations, and shared responsibility for pupil success. By working alongside schools, families, and Camden’s wider support network, we aim to ensure every young person can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within their community.
